Fall is hands down my favorite time of year, and i know that holds true for many people out there. Fall decor and setting the fall aesthetic as the weather starts to chill is one of my favorite things to do. However, home decor and purchasing new decor every season can get quite pricey. My number one tip is to save your stuff and re-use it every year, instead of buying new. However, i know that buying new stuff when the season turns can be exciting, so here are my top tip for getting all of you fall decor must haves on a budget.

Throw Pillows

Throw pillows work as great seasonal decor. Not only do they add to whatever aesthetic you’re going for, but they’re functional. If you’re going to spend any amount of money on decor that’s only out for short period of time each year, choosing pieces that also have a function is the way to go. Throw pillows are great to spruce up any space, and can be super cozy when the weather starts to get cold.

While throw pillows can be great, they can get quite pricey. Luckily, Amazon is a great place to get fall decor on a budget, especially pillows. These sets of 4 are only $16.99!

Throw Blankets

Along the same lines as throw pillows, throw blankets provide decor while still providing function. Throw blankets are one of my favorite ways to change up the appearance of a space. Throw blankets are especially great for decorating for fall and winter seasons and holidays, colder weather calls for more layers, making the throw blanket the perfect decor piece! These are also great if you don’t want to feel like you’re over-doing it on the decor, as they blend seamlessly into your space.

Again, these can get pricey but there are so many options out there. Opt for some cheaper ones with my seasonal designs or patterns, or opt for solid “fall” colors, that can be worked into decor for other seasons, or used year round. A black and white gingham is one of my favorites, paired with the right throw pillows or additional decor it works in all seasons! Try this light weight option here; or this sherpa lined one here.

Pumpkins, the ultimate fall mascot. Whether you’re a pumpkin-spice everything kinda gal or won’t touch it with a 10-foot-pole, there’s no arguing that pumpkins are the epitome of fall. These days there are a million different pumpkins you can choose from. Go traditional with the orange, or modern with neutral designs. Real pumpkins, ceramic pumpkins, paper pumpkins, fabric pumpkins, the options really are endless. My favorite budget-friendly options to add some pumpkin into your life include the little guys you can buy at Walmart for a couple dollars, and the Dollar Tree, which has options ranging from ceramic to styrofoam in a variety of colors and designs.

Fall candles are by far my favorite part of fall. However, they can add up quickly if you burn through them as often as i do, and want to have multiple scents on hand at all times. If you like the Bath & Body Works 3-wick candles, they usually come out with $10 off coupons every few weeks during fall, making them $14.99. I find that these candles smell great, and truly change the aesthetic of a room, however i tend to burn through them faster than other brands. My other favorite option for budget-friendly candles is TjMaxx and Marshalls. They usually have a wide selection in different sizes, brands, and scents.
